RED RIVER COUNTY TEXAS CRIMINAL COPS

        This is an older case of "Authority Gone Wild" and it is by far not an isolated incident that happens in America,however I think it is just as important to learn about the older cases of police abuses, because back in the day some of these "Good Ole Boy" police agencies,especially down south were corrupt from the very top to the very bottom and corruption does not happen overnight and you would be shocked by how deep and far this corruption sometimes went. Sometimes it went all the way to Congress and even the Governor's office. So,this is why I feel learning about the historical cases are just as important.

   In East Clarksville,Texas  In 1980 2 guys and a girl were out riding around in one of the guys trucks and they were drinking and driving and then when they crossed into Red River County a cop who had an infamous reputation for using police brutality and having a short fuse saw the truck heading his way and he knew they were probably a bunch of young drunk kids out driving around while drinking. You have to remember the date of 1980 and it was very common for teens and young adults to load into the car with a couple cases and even a bottle sometimes. This was still the norm in 1988-89 in Ohio to do,even  though the Drunk Driving laws were starting to get a lot tougher.

      The Chief Deputy who pulled out to chase the speeding truck was Douglas Jackson. He caught the driver and placed him under arrest and even though he was fully aware all the passengers in the truck were intoxicated he ordered the other male to follow another cop car and he followed the truck and they were driving at speeds exceeding 80 miles an hour. The abusive cop had roughed the original driver up some and was verbally abusing the others, they were terrified because they were all familiar with Deputy Jacksons police brutality and they knew he always got away with abusing the prisoners he placed under arrest.

   Then once they all get to the station the cops started abusing the kid they ordered to driver his friend's truck, the two cop cars had him sandwiched between them and he had to drive as fast as them, but now they were trying to place him under arrest too. This kid knew that a Texas Citizen who had a valid driver's license could only be ticketed not arrested and he tried to exercise his this right because he knew they were being abusive and the last thing he wanted was to be in handcuffs and in a cell with these cops getting meaner by the second.

    The next thing he knew was one of the cop's was screaming profanity at him and telling him he will teach him to respect the law and started bashing his head in with a flashlight and then through him in a cell while he obviously needed medical treatment because he was bleeding profusely and he then asked for his one call and this was a mistake because he drug him out of the cell and beat him with his gun. Jackson dared him to tell on him because he would kill him.

 Well this guy got out and sought a lawyer and then Jackson burned his office up hoping the lawyer would be intimidated. Then Jackson showed up at the scene directing traffic. Then Jackson sent him a letter the next say threatening the lawyers family and signed it Inferno.

   5 years later Jackson was sentenced to prison and his cop wife then helped him escape from prison.
